Each December, auditions are held for the Alle-Kiski Valley Honors Band. Students accepted to the ensemble will share the opportunity to perform with peers from the entire AKV association. The members enjoy the experience of getting to work with a world class guest conductor during this two-day festival. As a part of this festival, the association awards a scholarship to a student pursuing a career in the music field. For more information, download the Scholarship Application Form. The festival venue rotates on a yearly basis and admission is $5. A professional recording will be available for purchase at the concert.
The date for this concert is January 20, 2023, at Leechburg High School. Auditions will occur on December 5, 2022, at Leechburg High School.
The audition rotation number for this festival is #3. All wind players will also be asked to play a chromatic scale from as low as he/she can play to as high as he/she can play to demonstrate range.
